Thank you for offering one of my fandoms! I’m very excited to read whatever you might come up with - I love horror, I love many flavors of horror, and I hope that my requests will inspire you to create something you enjoy writing! This letter is an attempt to offer some prompts and a little more detail of what I like in case you need more details for your starting point, but you are by no means obligated to read or take this letter into consideration. The last thing I want to do is overwhelm you.

If, however, you’re like me and can use the extra push of reading your recipient’s thoughts and feels and prompt offerings to get the creative gears turning, read on! 

(Note: Some of these are much shorter than others - a) I was trying to finish faster since assignments came out early and b) I was getting a little overwhelmed. However please don’t think that requests with only one or two comments are ones I would be any less happy to receive. DNW note -

So I absolutely forgot to put this in my dnws, that’s on me, and I totally won’t hold it against you if you don’t take this into consideration, but while I adore horror, dark fantasy, cosmic/scifi horror, monsters, eldritch things, chthonic beings, etc., I am not really comfortable with anything that focuses on Judeo-Christian theology/demonology, real world Occultism, Satanism, demonic possession, Baphomet, horror inspired by any real world, currently practicing religions, anything like that. If your idea includes any of that, I will still read and leave a positive comment, because I made the mistake with forgetting this in my optional details.

I love the performances, the cat and mouse atmosphere, and especially the character of Rocky in this film. It’s not a favorite overall, but there’s a lot in it that really hits my horror kinks in a way that leaves me wanting more. This is my one fandom where I am okay with fic that includes pregnancy/babies. My preference is that if Rocky is the one pregnant, she doesn’t wind up dying pregnant/from the pregnancy or birth, and there’s no violence towards any baby after it is born. I’m also okay with the obvious, if unconventional, non-con that takes place for pregnancy to happen. 

Pre-canon/post-canon/canon compliant, canon divergent aus, and major aus that fit the horror types requested are all good with me. I would love anything that tries to capture the cat and mouse feel of the movie or is very introspective. Quiet, thoughtful horror with bursts of rage and violence. That said, I’m very open to however your inspiration takes you!

So one of my biggest complaints with this movie is that Cindy never has a voice. Even after they find her and free her, they never remove the gag from her mouth. She makes a few sounds and hand gestures and does just enough so they know who she is, but ultimately she’s voiceless. Everything we know about her comes from outside (and biased) sources. I would love any fic that explored her time as a captive, how she dealt with being kidnapped and held against her will, dealing with the pregnancy, her interactions with Norman. I also found it interesting how she was gagged (even while her hands were free), since there isn’t really anyone else in that neighborhood. Was she always gagged? Did she try to drive Norman crazy by constantly making noise, her only real means of defiance against her captor? Maybe she tried to play on his emotions, tried to earn his sympathy, and he got sick of it. I think it would be interesting if it almost started to work. While I don’t like Norman or want him portrayed as overly sympathetic, I like the idea of him becoming attached to Cindy beyond her being a vessel for his child. Even better if that’s why he gags her. I admit I can be a sucker for Stockholm/Lima Syndrome, but with this fandom I also would be happy with fic where neither of those happen, especially on Cindy’s part. Or maybe fic where Rocky is able to get Cindy out of there, and they think Norman is dead only to find out later that he wasn’t found. Even as an old, blind man, I could see Cindy being terrified of him coming after her or sending people after her somehow. A fic that has an almost cat and mouse feel to it would be fascinating.

I love her! I love Rocky so very much. Jane Levy is a fantastic final girl. She does so much with her eyes! For Rocky-centric fic, if you wanted to go with something canon compliant, I’d love fic where she deals with the uncertainty of Norman surviving. Wondering if he would tell the authorities about her, or just come after her/send someone after her in secret. Constantly moving from place to place because she always feels paranoid that she’ll be found, that Diddy will be taken from her. Any fic that focuses on her trauma and maybe feelings of paranoia, thinking she sees Norman, not knowing what’s real or what’s just her imagination. Or maybe fic where she finds Diddy a home that can take care of her while she goes after Norman once he’s out of the hospital, because she can’t stand that he lived or can’t take that uncertainty. Also would love any fic where Rocky becomes a sort of final girl Buffy, going after killers/slashers.

Stephen Lang and Jane Levy did so good in these roles and were absolutely captivating. The few actual interactions they had were solid, and I honestly would love to see more explored in fic. Whether it’s canon divergent where Rocky didn’t get away, or canon compliant post-movie  and Norman is trying to track her - to be honest this bleeds over into my thoughts and prompts for Rocky solo and Rocky & Diddy. There’s a lot of really dark potential with this dynamic, and I’m okay with you skirting my DNWs. If Rocky wasn’t rescued, how would she be as a captive? What methods would she try to get free? I can see her constantly trying to get out and being a much more of a handful than Cindy, but Rocky also strikes me as someone very crafty and quick thinking, so I could see her trying different methods to get free. These are definitely the tags where I feel the Psychological Horror/Institutional Horror could really come into play.

Another film I’m not super crazy about as a whole but I really love - and this might come as a surprise if you’ve seen my requests - Laura Ramsey’s Betty. I am fascinated with her, her relationship and past with Driver, her feelings regarding Emma, how passive and submissive she is up until her final moments. Obviously, I’d prefer fic where Betty is the central character/focus, but how you choose to tackle that is very open. I’d love canon compliant fics or canon divergent aus, but I think there’s a lot of heavier au potential with these characters - especially with monster horror/dark fantasy. I am partial to werewolves myself, but don’t feel boxed in to that only.

Yeah, I really loved Betty. And since I am a sucker for messy dynamics, Stockholm/Lima Syndrome in horror fiction, final girls, final girl femslash, and final girls/slashers, there’s a lot of fun things to play with in this canon’s sandbox. However you choose to go about your story, as long as Betty is the focus, I’m down. Dark endings, canon compliant pre-movie stories, maybe an au where Betty and Emma start talking whenever they can and forming a bond - maybe with Emma in her ear, Betty is able to start reclaiming herself and the two of them overpower Driver and turn the tables on him? I think it would be fascinating to see them capture him and keep him. Would Betty feel capable of turning Driver in or killing him? Would she be afraid of how to live in the normal world again? Or Betty frees Emma and they get to safety but Driver isn’t caught, so there’s that constant paranoia with him out there. And again I am also open to paranormal/dark fantasy aus with monsters or supernatural elements.

Okay, and here is where you might question my taste in films or think I’m a lost voice of genius - but I genuinely do love this movie. It’s filthy, disgusting, relies a lot on tropes, cliches, and stereotypes of the genre, all while being this weird, dumb, charming (imo) hybrid of a slasher film and the ‘torture porn’ era that was so strong at the time of its release. There’s also a touch of Dark Castle flair to it, I think. And it even breaks some tropes and cliches, too, especially with Kira and Christine - two final girls, one of whom is a character of color, and they’re as heavily implied queer as the movie could get away with under WWE Films’ eye. Also Kira is both the ‘whore’ and the ‘virgin/madonna’ type, which I Iove. For this fandom I prefer something that leans more into canon itself and really plays with it. 

(Bonus points for including details from the novel, which I don’t enjoy quite as much as the movie and find a little trashier but there’s also a lot I like about it. If you have not read the novel or weren’t even aware it existed and are thinking of looking into it, it includes a lot more gore and sexual violence than the movie did but goes a lot deeper into every character’s backstory.)

(Bonus bonus points if you don’t take the sequel into consideration beyond ‘Jacob is alive’.)

Characters/Pairings - 

• Solo: Kira Vanning 

I love Kira Vanning so damn much! A final girl who is the one we see naked? Who is presented as ‘the whore’? Who is a victim of an abusive relationship, a street kid, who worked for her abusive drug dealing boyfriend? Who is very heavily implied to be queer? Who gets to be rescued and seen as someone worthy of love and protection? Yes! I’d love any fic that focus on her dealing with the aftermath of the Blackwell, whether she’s still with Christine, how she handled Michael coming back for her and struggles to reconcile that with her fear of and anger towards him (I don’t mind if you include Michael in your fic and even go with the theory that he reforms or becomes less abusive, but I don’t want to see his past treatment of her swept under the rug, or her and/or Christine letting that go). Does she struggle with PTSD, paranoia? Would everything that happened and the feelings of helplessness she constantly faced push her towards becoming a final girl vigilante perhaps? Maybe she gets tangled up with another slasher/killer?

• Kira Vanning/Christine Zarate 

Subtextually queer final girls - it’s not as good as actually canon queer final girls, but this was back in 2006, and horror still is struggling to give me that so, I’ll take what I can get. I love this relationship - I love how much they protect and care about each other, I love how touchy and physical they are with each other. I love that Christine wanted to help Kira run even though it meant saying goodbye. I’d love to see fic of them dealing with the aftermath and how it affects them and their relationship, how they each cope. The potential prompts mentioned in my section for Kira are more than welcome to be included in fic that’s focused on this relationship as well!

• Jacob Goodnight/Kira Vanning

I’m weak for this kind of dynamic, what can I say? Whether you want to go with canon divergent or canon compliant or some kind of au, I am open. I would just love to see more with them, with Jacob’s fascination with Kira and her tattoos, with Kira defiant but terrified. I would love to see what would have happened if Christine and Michael had failed to save her after Jacob killed his mother - I’m open to either or both of those two dying but prefer Christine’s not be ‘on screen’ so to speak. Or if you want to include the sequel with Jacob being alive, does he come after her and the others? Does she try to hunt him down if she finds out he’s alive? This is another fandom where Stockholm Syndrome and Lima Syndrome are more than welcome to be incorporated into your fic. 

Skinwalkers

I have a weird love/hate relationship with this movie, but I absolutely love the characters, especially the villain werewolves. Back when this film was in production/being delayed for release, I soaked up any and everything I could find for it and wound up getting hold of two different scripts, character sides, and a review for the original draft that brought in a lot of deeper and straight up different details, and sometimes when I discuss the film I have a hard time remembering what is canon and what was changed/cut out. One thing is I often use the terms “Naturalist” and “Humanist” - in the scripts, these are established to be the different terms for the two different camps of werewolves, Naturalists being the ones who have fed and embraced the wolf, Humanists are those that lock themselves up and seek the cure. However, I totally don’t expect this to be reflected in any fic I get cause it’s not canon established in the film, so please don’t let my terminology scare you off from writing for this fandom! I am very happy to receive fic that only acknowledges what is in the film! 

(My one caveat request is that if you include Grenier in your fic, while the movie fails to acknowledge this as his reason for lack of dialogue, he is supposed to be mute. I’d love if you included the villain wolves knowing sign language and incorporating that into your story, but there is no obligation to.)

I’m more than happy to get major aus, canon compliant fic, pre or post movie fic, canon divergent aus - the only thing I don’t want is Rachel/Caleb. I don’t mind mentions of it having happened or there to be some lingering/conflicting feelings, but I really do not like the ship at all except in a messy af threesome with Sonja.

I love the idea of Sonja being the one to survive and get cured. I love it because of all the Naturalists, she’s the one who would suffer the most, and who doesn’t like to see their faves suffer? Surviving, losing Varek, either being ditched by Timothy and Rachel or winding up stuck with them - all of it is her worst nightmare, and I’d love to see that explored. Do they ditch her and she ends up trailing after them, no idea what else to do? Do they bring her with just to make sure she doesn’t hurt anyone whenever she lashes out over what’s become of her? Maybe they have to keep her locked up - maybe Rachel wants to drop her off at a police station but Timothy feels pity, or maybe they plan to but then don’t know if they’ll have anything to charge her with and keep her off the streets, so they just keep her with them, holding her prisoner.Or maybe she trails after them, lost without her pack and lover, maybe she ends up killing some of the Naturalists that come for them. Is it to protect all she has left or because she wants to eventually kill them herselves? Does she even know? With Sonja/Rachel, I like the idea of Sonja finally needing intimacy and trying to instigate something with Rachel because there’s nobody else and because as much as Sonja hates it, Rachel was Caleb’s wife and that’s as close as she can get to being with him again. Maybe Rachel rejects her, or rejects her for a while but eventually gives in because she’s lonely too. I’m also open to Sonja surviving at the end but Rachel doesn’t, and so there’s a human Sonja and Timothy who’s ready to shoot her if she tries anything but everyone is dead, Varek is dead, and Sonja ends up sticking with Timothy. In one of the earlier drafts, Timothy actually became a werewolf when Caleb bit him, and I think it’d be fascinating if - whether Rachel is alive or not - he was turned and Sonja was cured, so she’s helping him adjust, but it’s Sonja so can she really be trusted? Is she really helping? There are a lot of really messy possibilities here, and I’d love fic that leaned into the twisted dynamics that could come about. I’m also open to more major aus than these ideas.

• Solo: Sonja 

So while a lot of characters and relationships wound up way less developed than they were in the scripts, Sonja definitely suffered the most, imo. Almost every reference and hint at her backstory was removed, and she was kind of treated as just badass eye candy a lot of the time. But I still love and adore her. I loved the soft, girlish voice that Natassia Malthe used for her most of the time, I loved how raw Sonja was all the time, her emotions always at the surface. I loved how much she loved being a werewolf. Any fic that explores her potential backstory is more than welcome, how she met Caleb and got turned, fic where she goes off on her own to hunt, canon divergent aus where she lives - either still a werewolf or a cured human - but goes off on her own. If she’s human, does she still kill? Would she try to eat her victims? If you want to explore that, I’m fine with cannibalism in this case as long as it isn’t the sole focus of the fic, please.

I love werewolves and werewolves that love being werewolves and werewolf packs and I love these assholes. I would love anything that focuses on them and their dynamics with each other! I am very open to them as a poly werewolf pack, but also perfectly happy with Sonja/Varek as the only ones romantically involved. I’m also happy with major aus - urban fantasy, zombie apocalypse, western, go crazy! Pre-canon, canon compliant, and canon divergent also make me very happy. I think it’d be interesting to see a fic that was a monster movie from the monsters’ pov with them, and I don’t mind if you push right up to my DNWs with the bloodshed because I do enjoy how vicious they are. I don’t want brutal/explicit torture or anything sexual or focusing on genitalia mutilation in graphic detail or violence towards children but otherwise I’m good. They’re werewolves, they kill, they eat, they love it, and I support them. Again if you include the detail that Grenier is mute, I’d love to see the pack knowing sign language so that Grenier can still talk. Also greatly enjoy when his hawk is included in pack focused fic!

I really like how you can see that Sonja and Grenier are close pack mates while Sonja finds Zo a pest, whereas Zo and Caleb are more like Sonja and Grenier - but when it comes out about Caleb being Tim’s father, Zo is supportive of and backing Sonja up until Caleb basically pulls rank. I definitely want to see fic that establishes that as bad as these assholes are, they are loyal to each other and genuinely do care, to varying extents, about each other.

• Sonja/Varek | Caleb 

GIVE ME ANYTHING PLEASE. I love this ship. I love them so much. It’s hard to articulate for just movie canon (beyond the fact that they are so aesthetically pretty together and also are a badass werewolf alpha pair), but I adore them. They way they move together, touch each other, talk to each other. I love how angry and raw Sonja gets after the reveal but how much Caleb snapping that he’s still dedicated to the mission makes her affectionate - she looks like she wants to jump him right there. I love their body language in that scene, even though it’s when everything is falling apart. I’m super happy with total aus as well - give me pirate and monstrous mermaid, vampires, zombie apocalypse as humans, zombie apocalypse as werewolves, give me angsty af post movie fic where Sonja survives and stalks Caleb and Rachel and Tim, pre-canon fill in the blanks of their backstory, whatever you like! My only real preference with this pairing is heavy influence of Rachel/Caleb or Sonja being a replacement/substitute.

• Rachel Talbot/Jonas Varek 

Honestly the Wolfman vibes from Jonas and his dynamic with Rachel really get to me, and I would love to see that explored more in fic. Broody, dark, introspective, intimate, modern gothic/monster lover horror is what I’d like to see with them. Or why not, make it a proper period piece Gothic horror story if you want! I also like the idea of Jonas as the monster who wants to be human, and Rachel as the woman who finds her inner monster and embraces it (not necessarily in a ‘villainous’ way though).

• Sonja/Rachel Talbot/Caleb Varek 

There is a lot of potential for dark, fucked up dynamics with these three that could be explored in a more horror focused story, and I’d love to see it if that’s where you want to go. I don’t have any real prompts or ideas because it’s a relationship I’m interested in reading but am still wrapping my own thoughts and feelings around and don’t have a solid grasp on how it could play out. But maybe that will open more doors if this is what you opt to write. I’d prefer something that doesn’t end on a more positive Rachel/Caleb leaning - I don’t mind if they all die, if they’re all awful for each other, etc., but I really don’t want Rachel/Caleb without Sonja in there.

Underwater

I would love anything for this fandom - I genuinely enjoyed the movie a lot, the performances were amazing, I appreciated that none of the characters were asshole types, and that ‘surprise! It’s Cthulhu!’ climax was great. The oppressive, claustrophobic atmosphere was so well executed, and the way the movie took the concept of the ocean and space being similar horrifying places and made a cosmic horror movie set in the darkest place of our own planet really clicked with me. I’m happy with anything canon compliant or divergent. If a major au I’d prefer it still had some of the atmosphere of the movie. If you want to explore more of the Lovecraftian element, that’s also welcome! I haven’t read any of Lovecraft’s works (I tried one a long time ago, and it just couldn’t keep my attention, and then I learned about some of Lovecraft’s...leanings and decided not to bother) but I’m somewhat familiar with the mythos still and find it really fascinating, especially is it continues to grow and evolve as more creators play with it.

Characters/Pairings - 

• Norah Price & Cthulhu

I loved the ending, I loved how Norah just stared down Cthulhu and went to herself, “Yeah, I’m gonna blow this monster up.” That being said, I’d love to see fic that includes some kind of interaction somehow, or an au where his presence is coming through and influencing them more, maybe Norah being especially sensitive to it? 

• Captain Lucien/Norah Price

These two fucked me up. The quiet, easy intimacy between them. The way they communicated with each other and worried about each other. How Lucien sacrificed himself for her, how deeply Norah felt it, and then did the same thing for Emily and Liam. Anything that explores their dynamic is welcome. If you want to bring in the idea the movie sort of implied that Lucien knew something more was wrong down there (the symbols on the map Norah finds in his locker, which apparently were an Elder sign that protects from Lovecraftian mythos beings?), I’d be really interested in that as well.

Swamp Thing

We. Were. Robbed. This show was amazing. Southern Gothic Horror Monster Romance of my heart! I’d love anything that tries to capture that essence, even if it’s a non-canon compliant au, and really leans into the monster romance of Abby and Swampy!Alec. I tend to prefer Swamp Thing is Alec over Swamp Thing is from Alec but if you prefer the latter that isn’t a deal breaker for me. While I’m somewhat familiar with the character outside of the show, I’m not super knowledgeable of the comics but have no issue if you are and want to bring in anything from that canon to help flesh out some things or fill in some missing pieces. I’d just love for any fic to have the dark, paranormal atmosphere and mystery to it. If you want to lean hard into the Southern Gothic or want to go full Cosmic/Lovecraftian, I’d be very happy to read it!

Characters/Pairings - 

• Abby Arcane/Alec Holland

First off - vines are welcome and encouraged! Get kinky with these two if you want - include weird plant biology in here if you want! Experiment and have fun writing this amazing monster romance ship! I love the connection they form and all the ‘what ifs’ that hang between them after Alec’s transformation. I love how fiercely loyal and protective they are of each other. I love how soft and gentle Swampy!Alec gets with Abby, and how stubborn Abby is about helping him and protecting him. I’d love to see more explored with their bond, maybe bringing more supernatural elements in - I think in the comics Abby actually has magical powers? I’d love to see that explored! Sharing dreams, prophetic dreams, something inhuman using their closeness to its advantage, maybe manipulating them? Or a fic expanding on where the show left off, with the now transformed Woodrue coming after Abby and Alec.

Okay so the first Evil Within game is my absolute favorite horror game. I adore it. I just love how it’s a weird hybrid of Resident Evil and Silent Hill, along with some other horror game influences in there. I really got attached to the characters and the grodiness of the world and how it runs the gamut of various horror atmospheres and settings, from asylum/hospital horror to zombie survival horror, to monster horror, to psychological, creepy horror, cult/folk-ish horror, etc. On the other hand, I really didn’t enjoy the sequel game. It’s not a deal breaker if you include canon elements from TEW2, but if you stick just with the first game’s established canon, I’m completely okay with that decision. I do count Juli’s DLC The Assignment/The Consequence as first game canon. I’m also open if you want to bring in anything from The Executioner DLC as well. While most of the horror types I picked are subgenres the game leans into or takes elements from, Dark Fantasy and Cosmic/Lovecraftian aren’t quite present in the game but I felt this was a fandom that you could easily take into those sandboxes to play with.

I love the connection Leslie forms with Sebastian, and how Sebastian grows more and more protective of him as the game progresses and he can tell something is after Leslie. I’d be happy to see any fic that plays around with their dynamics. A similar case for Juli and Leslie - I love that Juli knows Leslie needs to be kept safe or eliminated, but once he starts being used more and more by Ruvik she still wants to do everything she can to protect Leslie until it feels impossible to save him.

Creepy case fic! Post game reunion fic that turns Lovecraftian! We  only get little bits spread throughout the game where the three of them work together, but I love the peaks at their dynamic and would be happy to read fic that explores it while also sinking deep into the horror of their canon.

So creepy and awful and so much potential! Would love to read fic where Leslie is still there, trying to reclaim his body and mind from Ruvik, or fic where Ruvik sometimes loses his hold over Leslie once they’re out in the real world and experiences the world with Leslie, as Leslie does. What if they can communicate in their shared mind? Ruvik trying to manipulate Leslie through the periods where Leslie has control maybe?

• Myra Hanson/Juli Kidman 

Getting to know more about Juli and also about Myra through the tapes found in the DLC (plus the brief appearance of Myra at the end of The Consequence) gave me a lot of feelings for these two. I think there’s a lot of potential for something very complicated and not too pretty, that has to be kept on the downlow, and I’d love to see them struggling not to get too entangled while also dealing with the people they work for. Trusting anyone in that company is a bad idea, and that could create a lot of tension and unease even in a purely sexual relationship.

I didn’t put Gothic Horror in my request for this fandom, but with this relationship? I can definitely see Gothic Horror incestuous siblings in a wealthy but somewhat reclusive family that lives in a big estate stories unfolding, since the game itself leans hard in that direction. It’s pretty heavily implied that their father was at least mentally/emotionally abusive towards Ruben before the fire, and I think there’s a case to be made that Laura as well experienced it directed at her. She at least seems well aware of what Ruben goes through, with how close and protective she is of him. I could see how, with the way they seemed to be sheltered from others and only had each other to play with, their dynamic would become something inappropriate. Even on Laura’s side, and I would be interested to read fic that explored how messy and codependent they were becoming (and, depending on if you go certain au routes, continue to become as they get older). Also fic that explores Ruvik and “Rebirth Laura” - does he avoid her? Does he control her consciously or subconsciously? Does this manifestation of his sister recognize him, have a life and mind of her own at this point? Really, anything that explores them - incestuous or not - would be up my alley.

Something that always stood out to me and that I loved with Ruvik was how, even though he’s trying to stop Juli and Seb most of the time, manipulates them, and talks down to them, there’s this weird element of trying to make them see they’re really on the same side as him - the side against MOBIUS. Obviously he wants to manipulate them so they ultimately are helping him get out, but the way he shows Sebastian some of his past, the glimpses he gives Juli and the way he talks to her to me felt like he wanted them to sympathize with them. Which, considering he doesn’t seem to care what anyone else thinks of him, makes me wonder if he related to their own past traumas, even on a subconscious level. (Sure, these things were necessary for the game, but that’s the Doylian explanation only.) So I like the idea that Ruvik, while arrogant and cruel, wants these two people to see that he was wronged and they should want to help him. Why don’t they see that? Why do they keep fighting? There’s a lot of really shady, skeevy, messy possibilities for these dynamics, and I’m honestly happy to read something dark and demented for this fandom and these pairings.

This game was almost too much for me, but also really, really good (disclaimer: okay, so I never played it, but I watched a few “let’s plays” and no commentary playthroughs after that). Great suspense, mystery, effective boo scares, and some surprisingly good moments of pathos. Of course it had some ‘pushing the envelope’ qualities too that were a little more than I cared for, but overall I liked the medical/institutional/survival horror hybrid it was. I’d love to see that kept in any fics for this fandom and pairing, or stories that drift more into Killer, Monster, and Psychological. (Monster aus are more than welcome!)

Totally welcome here). Does Miles somehow get through to some shred of reasoning and humanity left in Chris? An au where Miles is another patient, perhaps the newest one, but the two somehow bond in some way before it all goes to shit? Werewolf au? I’m good with these and many more.

Go wild! Please! There are endless possibilities with this fandom - there’s a lot of room for horror within the actual canon setting, and I’ve seen so many amazing au scenarios that lean into different horror genres (even a Gothic Horror haunted mansion romance fic that was quite good!), and I would love anything from canon compliant to an intense, set out in space, cosmic horror epic. I’m really not picky with setting at all. I love all the characters really, so I’m happy for ensemble fics as long as a requested relationship is in there as well! I’m also a huge multishipper in this fandom, and don’t mind if you include multiple requested relationships with one character. As long as the dynamics are open relationships/polyamory, or weird monster pining, or something other than just cheating on their SO and the manipulation/gaslighting that comes with it, I’m happy to see those I requested multiple ships for involved in a couple or all of them in one story. And on the flip side, I’m perfectly happy with only one pairing/throuple included in your fic.

Also just want to note that any aus based on the different skins for the characters, especially their Halloween skins, is more than welcome! I think their themed skins offer up a lot of potential au ideas that would be fun to see.

So my first real introduction to Overwatch beyond being vaguely aware of it when it came out because it was huge, was the Infiltration short that introduced Sombra. I love the three of them as individuals and as a unit working together, and in the various pairings they create (Reaper/Amelie included, even if that tag is missing here). So I would love to see any kind of fic that focuses on their weird dynamic, the lack of trust or varying levels of it, the way they play off each other, the horrors they have all been through - Talon and its members and what it puts many of its members through is ripe for horror fic, so I’d be very happy with canon based fic focusing on these dynamics - but I’m also open for au scenarios, maybe something set within the Junkenstein’s Revenge universe, or a totally different take altogether.

Ultimate Ancient Egyptian Power Throuple. With Ahmanet living long before Imhotep and Anck-su-namun, I like the idea that even trapped as she was, she was aware of the Hom-Dai being used. Is there a special plane where the cursed Egyptians are stuck? It’d be interesting if she and Imhotep could communicate in some way while they were “locked up” - or just that Ahmanet, upon being released, knew how to find others that were cursed and decided to bring Imhotep back to offer an alliance, and together they raised Anck-su-namun. Or maybe Anck-su-namun and Imhotep even discovered something about Ahmanet that wasn’t destroyed and found her burial site back when they were first alive and released her. Perhaps Ahmanet is able to reach out to the current reincarnation of Anck-su-namun and lead her to releasing Ahmanet who brings back Imhotep as a reward. There are a lot of possibilities, and these are just a few offerings of what I’d love to see. Stories that draw on a lot of Ancient Egyptian history and mythology are more than welcome! If you want to stick with the canon characterization of the gods, that’s fine, but I’d also be happy with fic that tried to bring things closer to the actual mythologies. Or if you want to go really crazy and tie these characters into Lovecraftian mythos, feel free!

The creepy femslash potential of these crossovers is just *chef’s kiss* so good. Creepy, gothic, monster seduction? Check! Human archeology-versed love interests so there’s a chance for some real history nerdiness? Check! Potential for dubious consent dream sex, body sharing masturbation, and other creepy seduction tactics? Check! Attraction between ancient beings who were never human or are no longer human and human women who fascinate them? Double check! There are a lot of standard monster romance tropes and atmospheres you could incorporate into any stories featuring these women - take Universal Monster movies, Gothic Horror stories, Monster Romance media, and make it queer! That June is an archeologist and Lara has that history/archeology biased upbringing, to me gives an extra flavor of appeal. I like that they’re both knowledgeable about a lot relating to Ahmanet and/or Enchantress and the time periods and cultures they’re from. And if you include both of them, then they can work together to try and stop either or both of these fearsome, otherworldly women. (Or just give in. I’m fine either way.)

I’m going to be bitter for a long time that the 2017 Mummy film wasn’t connected to Dracula Untold after all, because to me, they really could have worked together. (...and without Tom Cruise.) So I would love any fic that merges them together - I think they could fuse easily? I love the idea of Caligula being behind Prodigium, bringing these monsters together to take on who - or what - had turned him and trapped him in Broken Tooth Mountain, and so Vlad and Ahmanet are reluctant allies both begrudgingly working for him for their own reasons, not trusting each other or Caligula.I love the idea of Mina working for Prodigium - what if she’s the Jenny character even? And there is no Nick. And now her vampiric past life husband and this ancient Egyptian queen are both near her constantly - how’s a woman supposed to resist that forever? Maybe Mina likes them dangerous. There are a lot of options to play with.

• Anck Su Namun (The Mummy 1999)/Santanico Pandemonium | Kisa (FDTD TV) 

Two women screwed over by men in power who wanted to own them, and both with lovers who maybe put them too high up on a pedestal. I just think these two could have a very interesting dynamic considering their histories and traumas, and both being “selfish” women and not “good victims” so to speak. They do awful things but are driven by that need to not be owned and not feel so powerless and trapped. They both had their bodies used against them in different ways. (Granted, Kisa went through an actual character arc that let her get to a better place and once there, she wasn’t really a villain anymore, while Anck-su-namun was treated just as a villain through and through pretty much, but maybe if she’d had three seasons and a show that didn’t back down from showing that she was a victim instead of a movie that tried to retcon her rape away or at least downplay it.)

• Christine Daaé (PoTO)/Mina Murray (Dracula)

Honestly, it just works. I don’t have a lot of thoughts other than ‘holy cow, I never would have thought of that but I’m glad someone else did cause that could be good!’ - I’m also not super picky on which versions of these characters you want to go with, but personal preference would be at least Leroux Christine. Not a deal breaker though if you don’t go with her.

• Jared Nomak (Blade Trilogy)/Selene (Underworld) 

This is an old crossover pair I’ve thought about for a long time - back when the first Underworld was the only Underworld movie we had, and any further knowledge came from the novelization and script, which at that time both had Selene being much younger (like, not even 150 years old iirc), and I just liked the idea of these two, with their similar abusive fathers that reign over the vampires, somehow working together and bonding. Obviously the dynamic would be a little bit different with her upped age thanks to Evolution, but I still think it could be really interesting. (Or if you want to keep to the first movie and its novelization’s canon, to make crossing over with the Blade series easier, that’s fine too.)

• Kara Danvers (Arrowverse)/Lex Luthor Jr. (DCEU) 

Lex Luthor Jr. is kind of a horror story waiting to happen to any Kryptonian already, and for some reason I really love the idea of inflicting him on Kara. This could be a fusion of the two Earths, multiverse shenanigans, or straight up horror themed au. There’s a lot of horror within the DC universe to draw from, but I’d also enjoy something that wasn’t about aliens and superheroes and supervillains. Maybe a more intimate, Gothic Horror tale, or some kind of Paranormal/Psychological horror story? I love the idea of these two corrupting each other - Lex trying to drag Kara down to his level, and Kara making Lex...not get a conscience, but feel uncomfortable with some of his actions and choices and attitudes. (I also love the idea of him reacting terribly to that potential personal dilemma. I love messy, unpredictable, unstable Lex Jr.)

With Lara and Wolf, maybe some kind of AVP reimagining, but with her there and Wolf on Earth at that point for some reason. Or, alternatively, the plot of Predators, but Lara is one of the humans captured, and Wolf is the yautja they find tied and left for dead? I’m happy to see other characters from DCEU or the AVP films (especially Alexa Woods or Scar) included in any crossovers.

I think there is a lot of really good bonding potential, and also some very interesting horror stories for them to go through together. Remake Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash now Mia? Sure! Final girl roadtrip of vigilantism? Hell yeah! These women bonding together because they’ve been through fucked up and nearly impossible to thoroughly impossible by human standards levels of trauma and horror and so they cling to each other because who else could understand? PLEASE. Feel free to combine any of these pairings, btw!

I would absolutely love to see these women - who are basically the matriarchs of science fiction-horror imo - somehow wind up in the same time and place and work together. I just think the idea of them together is really neat. I could see them clashing at first - maybe they have one of those arcs that male characters get where they’re forced to work together by circumstances outside of their control, but they don’t get along and don’t like each other, and then that homoerotic tension starts building, begrudging respect forms, until by then end it’s Ride Or Die. Except it isn’t subtext, it’s there, in the text, and they make out. Or fuck. Whichever you prefer. (Or you do something totally different but they still get together. I’m not picky, promise!)
